Aim & Scope of Socioeconomica
The Scientific Journal for Theory and Practice of Socio-economic Development Socioeconomica (SJSECO) is an international peer-reviwed, open access Journal publishing in Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian and English original, until unpublished, studies, scientific and professional articles, review essays, reviews and translations in the field of social sciences. Journal stimulate publication of theoretical and empirical research. The topics which covered by Socioeconomica include:

We are also interested in short papers (letters) that cleary address a specific problem of socioe - economic development and short survey or position papers that sketch the results or problems on a specific topics.
Other related topics are also welcome. All manuscripts are subject to a rigorous and fair peer-review process. SJSECO contains the following types of papers: Original scientific paper - the paper in which the figures of the previous unpublished results of own research using scientific methods; Review paper - paper that contains original, detailed and critical review of the research problems or areas in which the author has made a contribution to the visible basis of self-citations; Preliminary report - original scientific full format article, but small-scale or preliminary character; Scientific criticism - discussion on a particular topics based solely on scientific arguments; Professional paper - work which offer useful experience for the improvement of professional practice, but which are not necessarily based on the scientific method; Informative Annex - an editorial, comment or whatever; Review - book review, computer programs, case studies, scientific events and the like.
The Editorial Board of SJSECO obeyed the originality of papers and fully supported the policy against plagiarism.
Editorial Workflow
The following is the editorial workflow that every manuscript submitted to the journal undergoes during the course of the peer-review process.
Once a manuscript is submitted for publication, the manuscript is checked by the journal’s editorial office to ensure that it is suitable to go through the normal peer review process. Once this is done, the manuscript is sent to an appropriate Editor based on the subject of the manuscript and the availability of the Editors. If the Editor finds that the manuscript may not be of sufficient quality to go through the normal peer review process, or that the subject of the manuscript may not be appropriate for the journal’s scope, the manuscript shall be rejected with no further processing.
If the Editor finds that the submitted manuscript is of sufficient quality and falls within the scope of the journal, they would assign the manuscript to reviewers for peer-review. The reviewers submit their reports on the manuscripts along with their recommendation of one of the following actions to the Editor:
•Publish Unaltered
•Consider after Minor Changes
•Consider after Major Changes
•Reject: Manuscript is flawed or not sufficiently novel
When all reviewers have submitted their reports, the Editor can make one of the following editorial recommendations:
•Publish Unaltered
•Consider after Minor Changes
•Consider after Major Changes
•Reject
If the Editor recommends “Publish Unaltered,” the manuscript is accepted for publication.
If the Editor recommends “Consider after Minor Changes,” the authors are notified to prepare and submit a final copy of their manuscript with the required minor changes suggested by the reviewers. The Editor reviews the revised manuscript after the minor changes have been made by the authors. Once the Editor is satisfied with the final manuscript, the manuscript can be accepted.
If the Editor recommends “Consider after Major Changes,” the recommendation is communicated to the authors. The authors are expected to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the changes recommended by the reviewers and to submit their revised manuscript in a timely manner. Once the revised manuscript is submitted, the Editor can then make an editorial recommendation which can be “Publish Unaltered,” “Consider after Minor Changes,” or “Reject.”
If the Editor recommends rejecting the manuscript, the rejection is immediate. Also, if two of the reviewers recommend rejecting the manuscript, the rejection is immediate.
The editorial workflow gives the Editors the authority to reject any manuscript because of inappropriateness of its subject, lack of quality, or incorrectness of its results.
The peer-review process is double blinded. Papers be may be published only if they get two positive reviews. Socioeconomica is edited according with the rules defined in the Act on the regulation of the scientific journals approved by Ministry of science and technological development of Republic of Serbia in cooperation with National Library of Serbia and Center for Evaluation in Education.
After the acceptance of the paper for review, the author is bound by signing the "Declaration of author's rights" where the author accepts the review procedure. This is followed by a decision of final acceptance or rejection of the paper.
